Hi there, we’ve been a little quiet while working on some background bits but happy to share with you more development on building a custom user interface for a square screened music player.
In the short video above take a look at our super fast way to get around a larger collection by zooming straight to the first letter of the artist and going from there. It’s surprisingly snappy to get around. The idea of an A-Z slider we actually shipped in a version of the original Sleevenote iPhone app, but it was a bit bonkers. We’ve since realised where it makes most sense and that’s in the grid collection view. Here’s a longer look:
Ultimately we’re trying to resist bringing up a keyboard and doing a text search because that’s dull eh? and also zooming through your whole collection helps remind you of the music you love, you’ll have to trust us on that one.
